thrillhop is an app for iOS and Android for planning time out with friends. Quickly choose the venue, time, and invitees in seconds. Users can earn points for actions inside the app, such as posting a photo to the venue or checking into a place. Find out more at thrillhop.com.
A strategy canvas is useful for identifying the activities and value of an idea, as it pertains to potential customers. This research proved useful for figuring out which features went into the minimal viable product (MVP).
Using Adobe XD's prototyping tool and recording software, I was able to capture the user experience and journey throughout the app in its mockup view. The interface and interactions are intended to show a typical user's workflow when making plans with friends. The video predates the name thrillhop.
The front-end mirrors the new design iteration of thrillhop, and includes additional features that were dreamt up and uncovered during development and user testing. Here is a screenshot of a couple classes coded in React Native.
